About the Founder
Liz Penn, DPT CIMT | President | Operations Architect
Liz Penn is a healthcare executive with two decades of experience strengthening operations & clinical excellence across the care continuum. Grounded in continuous quality improvement , she helps organizations translate complexity into sustainable solutions.
Liz is known for her people-first leadership style and her ability to scale practical playbooks across national portfolios. Drawing on leadership roles at UNC Health, Riverside Health System, Novant Health, and Hospital for Special Surgery, she has developed a methodology that solves operational puzzles and monetizes efficiency.
Raised in a performing arts family, Liz always dreamed of performing on Broadway. At age eight, she saw the movie - The Other Side of the Mountain - the Jill Kinmont story, a skier and olympic hopeful who became paralyzed after a devastating accident. Not only was Liz moved by Jill's perseverance, she was inspired by the physical therapists who helped her rebuild her life. In that moment, Liz decided she wanted to be both - a performer and physical therapist. That dual identity continues to shape her work today.
Before entering healthcare, Liz built large-scale events at iconic venues such as Universal Studios, Gaylord Hotels, and Busch Gardens - experiences that sharpened her ability to manage complex systems, align teams, and deliver seamless outcomes. The result is a workplace that works - where patients receive better care, clinicians feel supported, and organizations can thrive.
